I don’t understand why everyone is so up in a roar about this movie!
I guess it’s the new thing to be the first person to get “sick and tired” of the biggest, newest thing. I guess I’m just not cool enough. To be frank, I have seen this movie about a hundred and sixty-seven times and it gets funnier every time I see it! Wow. That really does not work for this movie, does it? Kinda ruined a super funny line from a super funny movie. I apologize, sir or ma’am, whichever you may be reading this review.
My point is, if you’d stop interrupting me, is that I bought this movie and have the digital version downloaded in every device that we have. I’ve even figured out a way to get it to download onto the toaster! Don’t ask, it has to do with torrents or something. Needless to say, but Ima say it anyway, I am probably one of the few that is “tired” of this movie. OR the songs. Come on! There were, what, like, four songs from the movie with lyrics? All of which are catchy. All of which are well-written songs. What gives, people?
I stand before you today as a dad/man/dude that still thoroughly enjoys this movie and its songs. In fact, I’m humming some now while I am playing the movie on four devices at the same time. And my only regret (other than starting sentences with the word ‘and’) is that I was not able to sync up so that they were playing at the exact same time. That, my friends, is annoying! So if you are reading this and wondering what I am really trying to say, keep in mind that I have that modern art mashup going on in my background. Just listen to it!
As my friend Linkin Park would say, in the end, it doesn’t even matter. This movie is great. I ordered it from Amazon because I wanted to be a rebel. It arrived quickly and was just what I wanted. I could’ve purchased the more expensive version with all the taker-doos and whaltzy-whips, but I chose to stay organic and get the bare-bones version.
It’s a fun movie. My kids love it and I love it. Good times all around!
And for those of you who are buggin’ about this flick, all I can say is . . . let it go!
